Eat & talk
Food is central enough to be excellent, but focused enough not to overwhelm the social purpose.
Insha’Allah, FIKRGAH is coming to Islamabad — a home for good food, real books, deeper conversations and a little less screen.
“What is built with intention is worth arriving for.”Explore the idea while the place comes to life.
The rules are deliberately simple, the hospitality stays warm, and the phone-free layer is designed to feel freeing — not punitive.
Guests retain their device in a secure pouch during the phone-free core experience. A practical-use zone handles calls, urgent messages and genuine exceptions.
The final pouch system and operating SOP will be selected after pilot testing; the principle is guest trust, privacy and low-friction enforcement.
Food is central enough to be excellent, but focused enough not to overwhelm the social purpose.
Browse curated shelves, discover titles through recommendations and take selected books home through membership.
Book circles, founder tables, professional conversations, mentor evenings and small moderated discussions.
Seating, acoustics and programming are designed to make small-group connection easier.
FIKRGAH is not a debate club and not a silent library. The standard is thoughtful participation: disagree without performing, listen without waiting to reply, and leave room for people unlike yourself.
Phone-free does not mean anti-technology.
Technology is useful. FIKRGAH simply creates a place where it is not the default center of attention.
